I thought she would protest and tell me it was itchy, but she was proud of her mommy made sweater! Just in time for the hot summer!

You know you live in Brazil when...

I was standing in line at the grocery store when I felt a tickle on my ankle. As I looked down, expecting to see an ant or mosquito, I saw an ugly brown cockroach staring up at me. Ugh! As I quickly brushed him off and did my own little freaked out bug dance the other folks in line just stared at me. I quickly panicked worried that he had been brushed off into the baby stroller, but they assured me that he had ran away on the floor. I was still squirmy and agitated at this point and it was obvious my fellow supermarket companions couldn't understand why. I just have this thing about cockroaches...especially when they are coming into contact with my skin. Overreaction? I don't think so.

A few items I have made in recent months. It seems pregnancy threw me into a crafting frenzy...you know, that nesting thing.



Store bought pillows I added my handmade crochet flowers. Gifted to my 3 friends who blesses me with a beautiful baby shower for Claire.

Claire's room: I made the crib bumper and my mom made the crib skirt. More pics in a future post of the "finished" room.
